Episode 11: God Loves Geeks

Even geeks have friends!

This week Brian and David are joined by Pastor Will Rose. Will is the pastor of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church (@HTLCchapelhill) in Chappell Hill, North Carolina. As a part of his parish ministry, Will runs a program called God Loves Geeks. God Loves Geeks uses geek culture to explore questions of faith for members of the congregation and community.

We had a great time with this episode - Will has lots of great ideas that we were both excited to hear and consider using in our own settings.

Episode 6: Ascendancy of the Geek

Geek culture has always involved a certain outsider perspective - being on the fringes of pop culture. Brian and David talk about what happens to that outsider perspective as geek cult becomes increasingly mainstream. Also, we display just how easily distracted we get when talking to each other.

2013's Churchiest Geek Stuff... or Geekiest Church Stuff

2013 was a good year for us here at GeekChurch. Here are some of the things that I think were the churchiest geek stuff... or is that the geekiest church stuff? In an effort to appear modest, I will leave out the launch of that excellent podcast Church of the Geek, but we all know where that belongs on this list that is given in no particular order.
